Unlike baseboards, a forced-air HVAC system can blow hot or cold air in a pattern that covers an entire room uniformly. This is usually because an item, such as a couch or other piece of furniture, is blocking the heat’s path, causing the heater to blow more air. However, baseboard heaters are also known to waste heat. Over time, the heat emanating from your baseboards will fill a room to the temperature that you desire.
